Yeah but the distinct advantage Craigslist has over all those startups is that you need to have 50 accounts to do what you can do in Craigslist with one account.

On a side note, that graphic reminds me of the pantheon of startups back in the mid to late 90's that all imploded due to lack of revenue.

I'll send a note to Diane Hofstede too.Meant to mention it above, but I think the benefits here speak for themselves.It's amazing people we're having this conversation about the digital divide vis-a-vis broadband 10 years ago. Yes, most of us have faster connections now than we did then, but the conversation hasn't changed much; 1 Gbps could be a real game changer in attracting talent.

no camera(s), no USB, no card support (unless you use an adaptor), limited GPS, no redesigned homescreen (where's my social networking updates, mail and calendar notifications, weather and other widgets .. lots of space to play with) .. so near and yet so far.I agree with you - a killer iPhone update would have been better.Wonder what's gonna come out of the Chrome Tablet or MS/HP space?

Peter,

The Microsoft-Yahoo! deal is weak sauce for Big Y! The only reason
they did it was because they wanted out of search so they could focus
on content and the cloud. They could turn that around with a
commitment to search from management. And as of now, Bing isn't yet
running Yahoo! search.

Yahoo! gets 88% of revenue from Bing ads with no gaurantee of revenue.
So if Yahoo! gets no traffic they get no revenue from Bing. But Yahoo!
still owns their ad network, they're just letting Bing use it.

Apple could decide they want Yahoo!'s ad network and either rework the
Bing deal or commit to doing search.

BusinessWeek this week reported that Microsoft is in talks to make Bing the default search engine on the iPhone. I don't know where Yahoo! fit in except that Yahoo! is going to send their search requests to Bing. Since Yahoo! is already on the iPhone (Go to Settings > Safari > Search Engine and you'll see Yahoo!) you could argue that Bing is also on the iPhone.

I just figured out the commenting via email too! Was I close with what I said? if you have multiple Posterous accounts, you can hook to multiple single twitters. I have pfhyper and sewardprofile. They are separate.

I had some trouble this morning with autoposting to Twitter, Tumblr and WordPress.It's good that you can e-mail twitter+flickr@blogname.posterous.com for example, but you can't send posts on one Posterous blog to one Twitter account and another blog to another Twitter account. Tumblr has the same problem.

I can post to twitter+flickr@blogname.posterous.com. Or flickr+youtube or whatever.Upload image: use gmail rich text editor and go to labs and enable image placement. Works OK.Time zone. What I said. Also a bug sometimes when you edit a post in the posterous editor and then save and it can't find the page. Back button and save it again usually works.Posting private can be nice (private@blogname.posterous.com). Then you can see how it looks before release. You can also share the link for private posts if you want feedback.Peter
